The material

A material mix for home composting.

The material mix consists of:

• 60% polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT) based on fossil raw materials

• 25% corn starch

• 10% polylactide (PLA)

• 5% additives

The OK compost HOME certification mark identifies products that are suitable for home composting in accordance with the requirements of the certification scheme.

The certification does not automatically mean that the bags may be disposed of in organic waste. Please observe local disposal requirements, as compostable plastic bags are not accepted in organic-waste collection in all municipalities.

Properties

TWO VERSIONS FOR FRUIT AND VEGETABLES.

The bags are supplied on rolls and are intended for packaging and transporting fruit and vegetables. Two versions are available: a handleless version with a star seal and a version with handles and a flat bottom seal.

Handleless bag

The star seal distributes the contents more evenly within the bag. This can help reduce pressure marks on fruit and vegetables during packaging and transport.

The open end can be folded over and tied. This keeps the contents inside the bag during transport.

Bag with handles

The version with handles has a flat bottom seal. The two handles make the bag easier to fill and carry. Due to the flat bottom design, the products tend to lie on top of each other more than in the star-sealed
