Coffee Consulate -
A division of Dionysos Consulting
Hans-Thoma-Straße 20
68163 Mannheim
Germany

The Coffee Consulate in Mannheim is currently regarded as the most important coffee school in Europe. It has achieved this significance not least through the great personal commitment and longstanding dedication of its initiator and founder, Dr. Steffen Schwarz, who already devoted himself to coffee and the coffee plant (botanically speaking: coffee plant) in the early 1990s as a doctor of natural sciences.

This was the first time outside industry that an interested researcher broke completely new ground in terms of profound information and knowledge about cultivation, harvesting, processing, roasting and packaging for interested users in the business-to-business and consumer market.

Already in the second decade we, WEBER Packaging GmbH, are cooperating with the companies of the family Sandra and Steffen Schwarz, who, in addition to a management consultancy specialising in gastronomy, also offer a Coffee Franchise with several international locations and a direct trading company for green coffee (green beans) from the producer countries.

As the second largest world trade market after mineral oil, coffee is of corresponding importance for us as a trading company in the food packaging sector.

The DHBW Heilbronn - as one of several campuses of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University - cooperates with around 9,000 companies and social institutions from all over Germany, the so-called Dual Partners. We are one of them.

Highly qualified junior staff

As a dual partner, we can work together with the DHBW to provide university graduates with qualifications tailored to their own requirements in just three years. The dual study concept, which has proven itself for more than 40 years, combines first-class teaching quality with maximum practical relevance.

Through the integration of theoretical and practical content, students at the DHBW not only acquire specialist and methodological knowledge, but also a high degree of action and social competence, thus preparing them optimally for their career entry.

The best minds of tomorrow

As members of the DHBW we choose our students ourselves. This ensures that our dual job offers are filled with the most suitable candidates.

An average dropout rate of less than ten percent - a unique peak value in the German university landscape - clearly shows how well this approach works.

Own experts communicate current contents

As a dual partner, we have the opportunity to send experienced experts, such as our Managing Director Sales, Stephan Weber, to the university as a lecturer. This creates an even closer connection to professional practice and at the same time contributes to the topicality of teaching at the DHBW.

International competence

Getting to know and understand other cultures is indispensable as a key competence for future specialists and managers. In cooperation with over 200 universities worldwide, the DHBW offers its students numerous opportunities to spend a semester abroad.

They can gain important experience in international business and working life, acquire intercultural competence, improve their language skills and thus prepare themselves optimally for the globalised world of work.

meet&work is a network of currently about 40 companies from various areas of the catering industry.

We bring together food suppliers and companies for kitchen technology, interior design, equipment, sound systems, leasing, flooring and wall technology, right through to consulting firms. All of them with the know-how, competence and experience in their specific field that will benefit you in the planning, redesign and optimisation of your business.

The mission of meet&work has always been the same:

Each for himself - but all together for your benefit!

Through a constant exchange of information on products, services and reports on projects or conversions, complete solutions can be worked out easily and quickly that go beyond one's own area of expertise. Our expertise does not end at the limit of our own possibilities, but helps comprehensively with planned projects. The result is effective and targeted advice as well as support for upcoming challenges.

To exchange ideas and strengthen business relationships, we therefore organise annually various meetings and information events.

This idea also gave rise to:

meet&work on tour!

This is an annual event to which all partners are invited and which perfectly combines information and enjoyment.

On foot or by bike, the tour leads through the countryside to specially set-up refreshment points. At these, the partners present their products or services. Through the interaction of beverage producers and food companies, you can fortify yourself after each stage and experience a unique day in the company of your friends and colleagues. On this day, you are the centre of attention and get to put our skills to the test.

In the evening, the big meet&work party will take place at the Casino Baden-Baden.
