TRANSPARENT WITHOUT HANDLES

The handleless bag with star seal allows fruit and vegetables to be packed and transported with fewer pressure points. The products lie next to each other in the bag and are therefore less susceptible to pressure marks. Due to its dimensions, the open end can easily be folded over and tied. This also makes the bag easy to carry and keeps the products securely enclosed.

TRANSPARENT WITH HANDLES

Compared with the handleless version, the bag with handles has a flat bottom seal. The two handles make the bag easier to fill and carry. With this type of bottom seal, the products lie on top of each other and therefore tend to stack.

The star seal distributes the contents more evenly within the bag. This can help reduce pressure marks on fruit and vegetables during packaging and transport. The bags are supplied on a roll in a dispenser. The bag is made from HDPE and is suitable for material recycling where appropriate collection and sorting systems are available. After use, please empty the bag completely and dispose of it via the appropriate recycling collection system in accordance with local disposal requirements.

The production of bio-based polyethylene

FROM SUGAR CANE TO THE FINISHED PLASTIC.

The starting point for the production of bio-based polyethylene is Brazilian sugar cane. After harvesting, it is processed and the resulting ethanol is used as a raw material for plastic production.

In the next step, the ethanol is converted into ethylene. Polymerisation then produces polyethylene, which can subsequently be processed into films and bags using conventional production methods.

Bio-based polyethylene has the same chemical structure as conventional fossil-based polyethylene. It therefore offers comparable properties during processing and use. The material is durable, moisture-resistant and suitable for the production of transparent and tear-resistant bags.

The term “bio-based” refers to the origin of the raw materials used. It does not mean that the material is biodegradable or compostable. The same disposal and recycling routes therefore apply as for conventional HDPE.

The material

A material mix for home composting.

The material mix consists of:

• 60% polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT) based on fossil raw materials

• 25% corn starch

• 10% polylactide (PLA)

• 5% additives

The OK compost HOME certification mark identifies products that are suitable for home composting in accordance with the requirements of the certification scheme.

The certification does not automatically mean that the bags may be disposed of in organic waste. Please observe local disposal requirements, as compostable plastic bags are not accepted in organic-waste collection in all municipalities.

Handleless bag

The material

UNBLEACHED KRAFT PAPER GIVES THE BAGS A CHARACTERISTIC, NATURAL APPEARANCE, COMPLEMENTED BY THE “OBST MACHT FIT!” PRINT.

The bags are made from unbleached kraft paper consisting of 100% cellulose fibres. Starch, alum and sizing agents are added to the paper, giving it high strength and load-bearing capacity. These properties may decrease when exposed to moisture.

OUR PAPER BAGS ARE AVAILABLE IN TWO VERSIONS: CONE BAGS AND CROSS-BOTTOM BAGS.

The unbleached paper appearance and classic shape make both versions established packaging solutions for fruit and vegetables. They are particularly suitable for short-term transport.

As the contents are not visible through the paper, identifying the fruit or vegetables inside may require additional effort during checkout.

Aluminium

This positioner consists of a base plate made of black plastic, into which the aluminium stand tube is inserted. These can be placed directly in the counter or screwed firmly into the base plate. Advantage: Light and inexpensive. Attention: The round aluminium tubes (ø 25 mm) prevent the complete presentation of filled baskets / boxes inside the counter.

STEEL

The powder-coated steel base plate is firmly welded to a slip-on cone made of flat steel. They provide for an almost complete presentation within your counter. The colour coating in RAL 7016 anthracite grey looks very elegant and timeless.

garbage bag holder

Here, the existing knot bags are used and the bag is clamped between two holding rings and then simply placed on the cone. Very easy to use without separate bag sizes for small waste or used gloves. 

Tray Mount

Plexiglas disc for easy presentation of tasting pieces. (as an extension of the bin liner holder)

Hook Clamp Ring

Clamping ring with attached hooks for mounting on the floor stand for attaching threaded fruit bags made of kraft paper.

Hooks

Hook for hanging the counter stand on counters with battens to prevent the holder from slipping off.

Display attachment

Can be used as a promotional attachment for presenting product information, store offers or price promotions.

Gloves for hygiene and as a service directly at the fruit counter can be integrated into the existing dispenser stands. For customers who do not want to touch the fruit or potatoes with their bare hands.
